A Home and a Country celebrates the principles and values that have defined America as a nation and made her great. Its purpose is to enlighten fellow Americans about our rich Judeo-Christian heritage, inspire them in their love of country, and engage them in the cultural discussion and their duties as citizens.

We have been blessed with a beautiful inheritance. But over the years, in the name of tolerance and political correctness, the very truths that have sustained America have been neglected, her history has all but been erased, and our culture dismantled. It’s time for us to take back what God has entrusted to us, before it’s too late – that for which our Founding Fathers and Mothers were willing to give up their fortunes and even their lives, and what many have fought and bled and died for ever since.

In 1775, as our fledgling nation was in the throes of her war for independence, Dr. Joseph Warren said,

“Our country is in danger, but not to be despaired of . . . On you depend the fortunes of America. You are to decide the important question, on which rest the happiness and liberty of millions yet unborn. Act worthy of yourselves.”

We find ourselves engaged in another battle today, one for the hearts and minds of Americans. May we also act worthy of ourselves as we fight for this generation and the generations still to come.

Soli Deo Gloria.

An old-fashioned gal at heart, Candace enjoys studying the American Revolution and World War II, appreciates classic fashion and common sense, and couldn’t live without pen and paper. She believes in the God of the Bible, the right to self-defense, that men and women are created equal but different, that technology isn’t everything, and that America needs more cowboys. Homeschooled from kindergarten through high school, she holds a B.A. in Social Sciences and is a classically trained musician, qualified NRA Expert for rifle, and paronomasiac.
